- The recent development in Information Technology (IT) is growing rapidly especially in the field of communication. An efficient and effective information is necessary for today’s technology. Apart of being used as a means of communication, there are also other benefits that can be felt by the society. Therefore, information media is needed in a place contains the meanings of technical term of communication such as a web-based dictionary. This web-based dictionary is designed by using an UML model which needs a use-case diagram and activity diagram. This dictionary uses a PHP, HTML, Javascript programming language and MySQL database. There are various features that can be used by user to facilitate the word searching. And it is equipped with popularity feature taken from google search as a symbol how popular the word used.
