- The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the media box to the ability to read words on group B children beginning in kindergarten Al-Islam 10 Surakarta Academic Year 2015/2016. This research is experimental research design One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The subjects were students in group B TK Al-Islam 10 Surakarta Academic Year 2015/2016. Early reading ability of children Data collected through observation and documentation. Data analysis technique used was t-test. The results of the data analysis t_hitung≤ value-t_tabel = -16.454 <1.78, then Ho is rejected and H_a accepted. It can be concluded that the effect on the media box word reading ability in children beginning in kindergarten group Al-Islam 10 Surakarta Academic Year 2015/2016.
