- Introduction: The results of a preliminary survey showed that 6 of 10 infants aged 7-11 months in Hargorejo Village Kokap Subdistrict Kulon Progo Regency Yogyakarta were impaired of their fine motor development. The prevalence of stunted in Hargorejo Village Kokap Subdistrict Kulon Progo Regency Yogyakarta was 41%. Nutritional status and intakes of micronutrient (zinc and iron) affect fine motor development. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status, intakes of iron and zinc and fine motor development in infants aged 7-11 months in Hargorejo Village Kokap Subdistrict Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. Methods: This study used cross sectional design. Subjects were 44 infants who had been selected through simple random sampling from all babies who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Nutritional status data were obtained by measuring the height using length board, iron and zinc intakes data were collected from interviews using SQ-FFQ, data of fine motor development were obtained using KPSP. Data were analyzed with Rank Spearman correlation tests. Results:Total of 27.3% of subjects was stunted. Most subjects had good iron and zinc intakes, which were 75% and 70.5%, respectively. Total of 81.8% of fine motor development subjects was normal. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between nutritional status and fine motor development (ρ=0.001), there was a relationship between iron intake and the development of fine motor (ρ=0.07) and there was a relationship between zinc intake and the development of fine motor(ρ=0.011). Conclusion: There were relationships between nutritional status, intakes of iron and zinc and fine motor development in 7-11 months of age infants at Hargorejo Village kokap Subdistrict Kulon Progo Regency Yogyakarta.
