- One of the forest park in Indonesia is TAHURA K.G.P.A.A Mangkunagoro I Ngargoyoso. Taman Hutan Raya (TAHURA) is a kinds of forest which has high biological diversity. The geographical located around 111o 8’13’’–111o8’58’’BT and 7o 37’ 20’’-7o38’33’’L. Bryophyta is group of primitive plans which live on soil. While, Pteridophyta is vasculer plans, pterydhophyta has root, stem and leaf. The purposes of this research are tho know the kinds and index of diversity plants (Bryophyta and Pteridophyta)in Taman Hutan Raya (TAHURA). This research uses purposive rondom sampling method by using transek random sampling method. The results shows that found 4 order, 5 families, 15 genus and 21 species of plans which spread in high 1.000 m.asl, 1.200 m.asl and 1.400 m.asl in TAHURA. The highest diversity index on station C (1.400 m.asl) as amount as 0,68 that is Pogonatum cirrhatum, while the lowest index on station A (1.000 m.asl) as amount as 0,51, that is Riccia sp. The highest dominant index on station A (1.000 m.asl) as amount as 0,48 while the lowest index on station C (1.400 m.asl) as amount as 0,31. The low level diversity plants of (Bryophyta and Pteridophyta) in TAHURA is low.
