  • Hypertension is a major risk factor heart disease such as myocardial anfarction, stroke, heart failure and death. Health financing in Indonesia has increased. Cost-effectiveness analysis is needed to assist in decision these medicine are effective in benefits and costs. This study aims to determine the direct medical cost and analyze cost-effective of antihipertensive drug for hypertensive patient hospitalized in the Hospital “X” in 2013.The research is non-experimental research with descriptive design. The data taken is retrospective data carried out in the hospital “X” based medical records. Data were taken for analysis of cost-effectiveness is data antihypertensive theraphy effectiveness and direct medical costs.The results showed, the smallest direct medical cost incurred is CCB on inpatient unit class III with a value Rp294.895. the biges direct medical cost incurred is CCB on inpatient unit first classwith a value Rp 977.355,5. The most cost effective antihypertensive therapy based on ACER is a ACEI used by patient in the inpatient unit class III with a value is 3.250,26. The most cost-effective antihypertensive therapy by ICER is a patient class III the result showed is 16,04. Keyword: Hypertension, inpatient, cost-effectiveness analysis
