Department of Early Childhood Education. The Faculty of Education, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, 2015. This study aims to improve the child's reading through the letters card. This type of research is peneltian class act. The subjects of this study is a learner group B in Kindergarten Earth 2 Sumurboto Year 2015/2016. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) with the working procedure two (2) cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. Data Analysis, Data collection method of observation, field notes and documentation. The results showed an increase in reading students. Research shows that the average reading children before action is 50.20%. After learning activities hurug card in the first cycle, reading children increased to 61.67% in the second cycle of reading increased to 89.67%. Overall activity letter cards can improve child's reading group in Kindergarten Earth 2 Sumurboto. Keywords: Early reading ability, through letters card
