Civil engineering (General)</subject><description>Sport is a physical activity that is carried out with a view to maintaining health and strengthen muscles - the muscles of the body. This activity can be done in its development as an entertaining activity, fun or also conducted with the aim to improve achievement. Today, art can be seen in the essence of the expression of human creativity. Art can also be interpreted with something man-made that contain elements of beauty.
Creativity is the ability to create bouquets, results or new ideas that were not previously recognized by creator.The problem is How to plan and design the Center gymnasium, art and creativity of the students were able to accommodate all the activities for students in the University Muhammadiyah Of Surakarta, without disturbing environmental comfort / activity around it, taking into account the architectural aspects related to noise,design,andlayout.
The purpose of planning and design of the building or buildings Sports Center, Art and Student Creativity at UMS, which is able to accommodate all student activities and do not interfere with the activity of the surrounding environment activities. The selected location is in the village Gonilan, Kartasura, Sukoharjo. Large of site is 10 516 m² (1.05 Ha), with a length of 123 m and a width of 87 m. Based on the development regulation Basic Building Coefficient (KDB) for Sukoharjo region is 60%, so that the maximum amount of land area is 6,309 m² awakened, while the remaining land is used as a green open space (RTH).
Building sports centers, art and creativity of students at the University Muhammadiyah Of Surakarta uses acoustic concept with the wall absorbers and vegetation as well as the shape of the building that takes the style of the surrounding buildings are in the medical and girls' dormitory building, so there is alignment between the new building with the old buildingorexisting.
