This research is descriptive research. The subject of the study is the second&#xD; year students of SMP Negeri 2 Colomadu and the object of the study is teaching writing descriptive text to the second year students of SMP Negeri 2 Colomadu in 2010/2011 academic year. The data are written information from teachinglearning process and the data sources are events, informant, and document. The methods of collecting data are observation, interview, and document, while the technique for analyzing the data are collecting, classifying, analyzing, and drawing conclusion.
