  • ABSTRACT Efforts to enable all students to participate in learning activities, should be accompanied by the encouragement of students to do so, or in other words there must be motivation. Motivation is a driving force for students, who can cultivate the spirit and sense of excitement for learning. One of the external factors that can influence student motivation is the family environment including socio-economic conditions of parents. In essence, the parent is the founder of the first private and educators in their lives who provide assistance and is responsible for directing the development of the child. The purpose of this study was to determine the socio-economic condition of the parents of students of Class X in SMA Negeri 1 Beber District. Cirebon, knowing students' motivation on economic subjects of class X in SMA Negeri 1 Beber District. Cirebon, and to determine the effect of socio-economic conditions of parents of student motivation on economic subjects of class X in SMA Negeri 1 Beber District, Cirebon. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. quantitative descriptive method is: "troubleshooting procedure were investigated to describe or depict the state of the subject / object of research (a person, organization, society etc.) at the present time based on the facts as they appear." The results of the data processing is known that the state of Socio-Economic Conditions of the Parent in SMAN 1 Beber District. Cirebon are relatively good, this is evidenced by data from respondents who did research at the school in the sample of 32 pupils in the school year 2012/2013 at SMAN 1 Beber District. Cirebon, and instrument a statement with a 10 point declaration stating that 70% of respondents have a Socio-Economic Conditions of the Parent are quite good. Besides Parental Socio-Economic Conditions are relatively good. Please also note instrument with a 10 point declaration statement stating that 68% of respondents have a Student motivation is good. The results of the calculations that have been done in the above research, the value of the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.67 included into the criteria of a strong relationship (.60 to .799) between the Socio-Economic Conditions of the Parent with Student Motivation. As for the hypothesis testing using t count and compare with TTable contained in the table. The results obtained are thitung = 4.940 and = 3.182 ttabelnya. So based on the results of the test calculations hypothesis can be stated as to the truth of the hypothesis that the researchers propose that: "There's Socio-Economic Conditions Influence of Parents on Student Motivation Lesson on Economy Class X at SMAN 1 Beber District.
