- This thesis discussed the development of media-based learning power point to improve motivation and learning achievment of learners. This research included studies of R&D taking place on SMPN 1 Kalitidu. This study was initiated from initial product design, product validation by experts validator, limited testing, revision of the first stage product, field trials and product revision of the final stage. As a result of the development is a product of learning of learning media in the form of power point. The results showed that every aspect of the media assesment in a "good” criteria. In addition, the increasing of learners motivations using power point as instructional media also have a “good” criteria which is shown from the results of learning motivation questionnaire with an everage score 3.17. While the results of testing the use of media based power point to increased learning outcomes can also be proved from the results of statistical analysis with the formula test “t” which indicates that the great “t” obtained in the calculation calculation (to = 4.434) and great “t” listed in the table value “t” (ttes 5% = 2.04 and ttes 1% = 2.76) it can be interpreted that to is greater than ttable ; is : 2,04 < 4,434 > 2,76. Based on the result of the conducted research the development of media-based learning power point is an appropriate media to improve motivation and achievement of students in SMPN 1 Kalitidu.
