- Based on the Split-brain Theory from Roger W Sperry, some views about the existance of the left and right brain hemispheres start to develop and are analyzed in some disciplines and fields of study. The theory is an interesting issue not only in health and psychology, but also in education. This article discusses the main concept of Sperry research on splitbrain and brain hemispheres, especially on the roles of split-brain in educational field and how is Islamic perspective on it. This article describes that based on the research by Speery on brain hemispheres, it has been widely recognized that there is a difference in the process of left and right hemisperes, though each has its own mechanism in catpturing and processing reflects. This research has been the reference in educational field that students should not be passive in class, while teacher is the main resource in the learning processes.
