- This study takes an object Sampek Dayak Kenyah village Pampang In Samarinda who is still alive and thriving in the middle of the bustle of the city of Samarinda. This study is focused on collecting research about the origin of the existence of Dayak Kenyah, trust Dayak Kenyah, the origin of existence Sampek music, musical relationship sampek with Kenyah Dayak community life in the village Pampang, and how to play music Sampek. Research using qualitative method with descriptive writing Analytical and using Ethnomusicologis approach. Results of the study revealed that the presence Sampek music is closely related to people's daily lives Pampang In that until now still believe in the strength of Bungan Malan as the ruler of the region. Sampek music creation can not be separated from the folklore Lawe which represented the musical element in the game Sampek.
