- The advancement of science and technology has provided a change in development of industrialization in Indonesia. PT X is one of the companies that engaged in the pharmaceutical industry. The use of equipments and high technology machines can lead injures to the employee. therefore PT X requires a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) as a guideline for work and lo ensure the safety and comfortable of work. The Safety and Occupational Health is delivered to improve the employee pe1formance. The purpose of this research was lo analyze the role of SOP and Occupational Health to improve the employee performance in PPIC department of PT X This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collections were carried 0111 via observation and interview. The result of this research was SOP and Occupational Health have influence to improve the employee performance in PPIC department of PT X The improvement of employee performance can be conducted by providing a decisive action by supervisor and by socialization/training activities about SOP at regular intervals. On the other hand occupational health and safety can be conducted with providing safety supervisor in the PPIC department.
