  • Striped snakehead fish (Channa striata) is one of the species that live in fresh water that has benefits for health because many contain albumin (25.2%). Albumin is a type of protein that is required for the development or the establishment of a new cells network. This research aims to know the effectiveness of striped snakehead fish extract emulgel against the wound incision on white rats wound by macroscopic parameter, macrophages and neutrophils where striped snakehead fish extract concentration used was 10%. This research used 3 group's of treatment animals fed by base emulgel (negative control), a group of animals given striped snakehead fish extract emulgel concentration of 10% (treatment) and animals that were given a povidone iodine (positive control). Each group was given treatment for 7 days, then the animals were killed on day 3 and day 7. The results showed that the treatment group showed a percentage of the average of the highest healing in macroscopic wound. Treatment groups showed a high number of neutrophil cells on the day that the day 3 (6.992±2.890) and indicates the number of cells of the macrophage is high on the day 7 (14.150±3.674).
