- The purpose of this research is to understand the process, forms, and factors of mother’s roles on language skill of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This research established using qualitative method through interview and observation. Respondents of this research are four mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder. The result of this research is every parents, especially mothers in Semarang, have different forms and styles of involvements for developing their children’s language skill. Mothers involved during the process of their children language interventions through discussion with professionals, provide necessary therapies for children, practice language study and therapy strategies at home, joining into parent community, looking for another opinions such as : reading books or other references and joining on language related workshop as well. Factors affected mother’s roles are their characters, support from their environments just like family and friends, also education and socioeconomic backgrounds.
