  • Green Open Space (RTH) is a form of land use in an area designated for reforestation. The existence of green space in an area can improve the quality of life, forming a community identity, protecting the quality of the environment, increasing the economic value of buildings or properties at a location adjacent to green space, and also form the "image" of an area. This applies also to RTH Mimika Regency Thus evaluation of local regulations regarding the Mimika Regency RTH become a necessity in order to "open space" in the Mimika district can be well ordered and in accordance with the standards and regulations accordingly. The purpose of this study is about how the condition of RTH in Mimika district compared to the regulation of green space in the Spatial Plan (RTRW) Mimika regency. The focus lies on the quality and availability of green space. The method used is the visual observation. The result is a green space in the Mimika Regency is still insufficient. To anticipate the ever increasing population growth then, the existing green space should be maintained and preserved.
