- Law assistance is service in law that given by law assistance organization generously to law assistance receiver according to Act number 16 year 2003 in Law assistance. This research examined law assistance as law service that provide for less fortunate community by lawyer freely. The way to get freely law assistance for less fortunate people by submitted written petition that contain identity, then they give some documents concerned with their case, and enclosed certificate of needy community from village chief or another official in their domicilie region. Thereupon, law petitioner bring all certificates to either the local court or LembagaBantuanHukum (LBH)
