  • Present semi-thesis is entitled “Optimized prisoner’s rights for obtaining proper food in Correctional Facility Class IIA Yogyakarta”. The formulated problems within study are whether prisoner’s rights in obtaining proper food in Correctional Facility Class IIA Yogyakarta has optimum and what factors impedes to meet prisoner’s rights due to obtain proper food in Correctional Facility Class IIA Yogyakarta. Legal drafting performed by the author intended for examines and comprehend the prisoner’s right in obtaining proper food in Correctional Facility Class IIA Yogyakarta has optimum and identify the impede factors in meet this rights. This legal study is classified as legal sociology. Preset study is established in Correctional facility Class IIA, Yogyakarta. This is an empirical legal study focus on law in action, and uses primary law as main data and secondary data as supporting data. Primary data consists of data collected from samples and respondent. Study’s samples were selected employ purposive sampling or selecting subjects related to specific objectives. The respondents involve prisoners who detained in Correctional Facility Class IIA Yogyakarta. Secondary data are collected from primary law involves positive law norms, research’ results, internet, master of law opinion, paw practitioner and relevant news; whereas tertiary data is drew from Indonesia Dictionary. Data are obtained through interview, questioner and literature study and being analyzed quantitatively. Conclusion that can be drew is prisoner’s rights for obtaining proper meet in Correctional Facility Class IIA Yogyakarta is good, though some impedes factors in realizing it also exists.
