- This law writing was titled “Health Services and Decent Food for Prisoners in Correctional Institution Class IIA Wirogunan Yogyakarta”. It was set in the Act No. 12 of 1995 on Correctional Institution that set the prisoners’ rights, especially in Article 14 Paragraph (1) Item d Act No. 12 of 1995, and the Decree of the Minister of Justice of Indonesia Number: M. 02-PK.04.10 year of 1990 about Prisoners / Detainees Development Patterns. The writer conducted this research in CI (LP) Class IIA Wirogunan Yogyakarta by interviewing 3 prisoners and several officers as the sample. In this research, the writer wanted to know whether the health services and decent food for prisoners in the Correctional Institution were in accordance with the present legislation. In this case, the writer had an opinion that the officers faced constraints in fulfilling the prisoners’ needs. To fulfill the prisoners’ rights as other people got, such as health services and decent food to consume, the government and the correctional institution needed greater cost.
