- The title of this thesis is Law Enforcement against Unlicensed Gold Mining Activities Located on the Mainland of Melawi Regency, West Kalimantan. The issue under study relates to law enforcement of unlicensed gold mining activities located on the mainland of Melawi Regency, West Kalimantan. The purpose of this study is to determine law enforcement against unlicensed gold mining activities located on the mainland of Melawi Regency, West Kalimantan. This thesis use an empirical legal research method, which is to analyze social facts in the field and the data is obtained from interviews with speakers and respondents, books, and other sources of information. The results of the research obtained are that law enforcement of unlicensed gold mining activities on the mainland of Melawi Regency by Resort Police of Melawi Regency and Environmental Services of Melawi Regency by providing counseling to the villagers, conducting simultaneous raid operations on unlicensed gold mining activities, and coordinating with PT. Sucofindi related to the proof of puya sand which is suspected to contain gold elements. This law enforcement has not been effective. This can be seen from the rampant unlicensed gold mining activities carried out on the mainland of Melawi Regency
