- The title of this research is the role of the Environmental Service of Sleman Regency in supervising the management of solid medical waste in Sleman Hospital. Medical waste management in hospitals requires supervision so that there are no violations that harm the community and the environment. This is regulated in Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management. The purpose of this study was to determine the role and constraints of the Environmental Service of Sleman Regency in supervising the management of solid medical waste in Sleman Hospital. This study uses empirical methods that focus on facts in the field; the data used is primary data supported by secondary data. Data obtained from respondents will be analyzed qualitatively. This research is expected to provide benefits for the development of legal science regarding solid medical waste management in RSUD Sleman. The conclusion obtained from this study is the role of the Sleman District Environmental Service in supervising the management of solid medical waste in Sleman Hospital has been running well. The obstacles faced by the Sleman Regency Environmental Service in supervising the management of solid medical waste at the Sleman Hospital are the lack of officers at the Sleman Regency Environmental Service in supervising the management of solid medical waste at the Sleman Hospital.
