  • The writing of law/thesis has the title of the compensastion for the ownership of land in providing the land for the development of south lane of Gunung Kidul in effort to give the law protection in Gunung Kidul regency. The problem formulation is how to give the compensation for the owner whose land was used for the lane development and whether the compensation had given the law protection for the former owner of the land. The research is aimed at identifying the process of compensation provision and whether the compensation represented the law protection. The recent law research was an empirical lawa research that is the research needed the primary data which was obtained directly from the respondent as the source of the primary data beside the secondary data as the law material. The form of the adminisration is distributing the questinnaire to the respondents who represent the former owner of the land as well as conducting the interview with the respondents. The result indicated that the compensation provision to the owner whose the land used for the south lane development, in the form of monetary compensation had given the law protection to the owner. The form of law protection given to the land owner was that the compensation was determined by the committee of land provision. The compensation was agreed between the former owner and the committee of land provision, thus the compensation is in corform with the prevalent laws.
