- The Smart City Initiative is becoming a world trend for one of the government's policies in dealing with urban problems. In Indonesia, the Smart City policy was launched by directing 100 cities to implement Smart City to increase its effectiveness and efficiency. Yogyakarta City as one of 100 cities has launched Jogja Smart Service mobile device application. The purpose of this study is to evaluate user acceptance and the success factors of JSS. Research methods / models The model used adopted the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) theory, collaborating with Hofstede's Cultural Moderators construction. Data was collected by conducting a field survey questionnaire filled out by active users of the JSS application. The result is a focus on behavior that shows that intention is significantly and positively influenced by performance expectations, business expectations, hedonic motivation, and the price and construct of Culture. The results of the acceptance of mobile application research become a source of data for the next academic research and become the government's reference in developing the smart city policy of the City of Yogyakarta. Furthermore, the limitations of the study and future directions will be discussed further in the last section.
