- This study entitled “The Role of The Environment Services Towards Reclamation of Ex-tin Mining Land in Damar District, East Belitung Regency”. This study aims to analyze the role of the Environmental Service in the implementation of land reclamation of ex-tin mines in Damar District, East Belitung Regency and what are the obstacles for the Environmental Service to carry out reclamation of ex-tin mining land in Damar District, East Belitung Regency. This study use empirical legal research which focuses on primary data. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of reclamation activities of former tin mining land in Damar District, East Belitung Regency can only reach 3%-7%of the 31.000 hectares. This is due to the lack of knowledge and ability in carrying out reclamation efforts for illegal tin mining actors. While for legal tin mining actors or those who already have an IUP, they pursuing production targets without being accompanied by accelerating the implementation of ex-tin mining land.
