- Sales of liquor in Sleman Regency is can only be done by direct seller and retail seller as regulated by Article 16, 17, 18, 19, and sales of liquid must have liquor trade permit as regulated by Article 24 of Regional Regulation of Sleman Regency Number 8 of 2019 about Control and upervision Liquor and Prohibition Mixed Drink. To study that matters, so the researcher doing a research in Sleman Regency Civil Service Police Unit and illegal liquor seller in Sleman Regency. This study aims to knows effectiveness of Regional Regu lation of Sleman Regency Number 8 of 2019 about Control and Supervision of Liquor and Prohibition Mixed Drink to prevent illegal sales of liquor in Sleman Regency. This research is using empirical legal research conducted with field studies to obtain primary data which is then supported by secondary data from library research. All data are collected through qualitative methods. The results showed that Regional Regulation of Sleman Regency Number 8 of 2019 about Control and Supervision of Liquor and Prohibition Mixed Drink was ineffective because of Law Enforcer factors, Society factors, Law factors.
