- Preventive and repressive effort against children as victims of neglect by parents in Foundation of the Child Protection Agency (YLPA). This research aims to know the concrete efforts in preventive and repressive towards the children as victims of neglect by parents. This research method using library research and study field. This research was carried out in the Foundation of the Child Protection Agency (YLPA). The author also did an interview with the Coordinator of the legal in Foundation of the Child Protection Agency (YLPA). The results obtained in this study are: the factors of occurrence of neglect against a child caused by economic and social factors. Form of legal protection of children as victims of neglect by parents is a preventative effort, given by explaining the understanding of children's rights to all walks of life through socialization or extension, as well as giving understanding the legal risks if violence or neglect against a child. Repressive efforts have four aspects: legal aspects, aspects of psychology, medical aspects and social aspects. Factors restricting the remedy of sanctions given to the perpetrators tend to be low so no deterrent effect. Keyword: Child, neglect of children, child protection, parents.
