- Children are entitled to special protection, but that is not obtained by Yemeni children. Armed conflict in Yemen has caused Yemeni children to die, need health care, be recruited and used in warfare. The purpose of this research is to study the implementation of the law on the rights of the child in armed conflict in Yemen against International Humanitarian Law (The Geneva Conventions (IV) 1949, Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions (IV) 1949, Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989, Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict) or not. This type of normative legal research was used in this study that focuses on the positive legal norms of laws. Based on the results of research reviewed from International Humanitarian Law, Yemen has not implemented the law on children's rights in armed conflict based on International Humanitarian Law, based on the research, there is an imbalance between the normative world (das sollen) and the reality world (das sein). This can be interpreted that the rules in the Geneva Conventions (IV) 1949, Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions (IV) 1949, Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989, Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict related to the children's rights are not fulfilled.
