- Domestic violence is a gender-based violence which going on private lands which from time to time always increase. With the issuance of ordinance No. 23 year 2004, make more victims to report violence he experienced. The driving factor for domestic violence can be caused by various factors. Objectives to be achieved by the authors of this study are to determine and analyze what factors the background of occurrence of domestic violence and how the application of the law PDKRT. This type of research will I use is kind of normative legal research, of the results of this study, it was found that the results of the first, causes of violence in domestic is due to jealousy and low economic level. Second forms of sanctions imposed by the judge against perpetrators of domestic violence committed especially by the husband to his wife. The government is expected to realize an integrated criminal justice system of gender justice as victims of violence against the wife by the husband in cases of domestic violence and provide information to the public about the legal system adopted in dealing with cases of violence against women in the household, and to invite the community to jointly discusses appropriate and effective ways to prevent violence against wives in the household.
