- This study examines the Effectiveness of Criminal Sanctions Against Homeless and Beggar According to Regional Regulation of Special Region of Yogyakarta Number 1 Year 2014 on the Handling of Homeless and Beggars. The main points discussed in this undergraduate thesis is the effectiveness of sanctions imposed on homeless and beggars, because in Chapter 21 of the Regional Regulation of Special Region of Yogyakarta Number 1 Year 2014 on the Handling of Homeless and Beggars is said that everyone is prohibited from performing vagrant and / or begging. The method of this research is empirical. The empirical method is a research focusing on empirical facts or social facts. The results of this study indicate that the Effectiveness of Criminal Sanctions Against Vagrant and Beggar According to the Regional Regulation of Special Region of Yogyakarta Number 1 Year 2014 is not effective because there has never been homeless and beggars subjected to criminal sanctions.
