- The title of this paper is the validation of customary marriage of Cu Tungku masyrakat customary law of Ruteng Pu'u In Manggarai Regenc.y, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study aims to find out how the legal validity of customary law community Tungku Cu Ruteng Pu'u in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The type ofresearch used is empirical legal research, ie research conducted or focused on social facts. This research was conducted directly to the respondents to obtain primary data as the main data, supported by secondary data consisting ofprimary legal material that is legislation concerning the validation ofcustomary marriage Tungku Cu customary law community Ruteng Pu'u and secondary legal materials namely legal opinion derived from books, doctrines, legal principles,' and websites. The conclusion of this research is the validity ofcustomary marriage Tungku Cu customary law community Ruteng Pu'u is based on the granting of dispensation in the form ofpermission to establish marriage according to the Catholic church law by the archdiocese ofRuteng.
