  • In this paper, we present the muttiresolution timeĀ­ domain method (MR.TD) based on Haar wavelets for acoustic wave propagation. The numerical method has the ability to represent functions at different levels of resolution. WaveJets are localized in space, which means that the solution can be refined in regions of high pressure gradient without having to regenerate the mesh for the entire domain We employ a mesh adaption in physical space dynamically using wavelet thresholding to follow the propagation of the wave. Using grid adaption. the computdional effort can be reduced. Computed ac9ustic fields are ompared to the exact solution, tbe comparison shows a good agreement.
