- This research was conducted to answer the problem formulation, containing about how the legal protection by the police against children as actors in a traffic accident that resulted in the death of the victim. The research method that is normative. The results showed that the police in handling cases of children as perpetrators of heavy traffic accidents resulting in casualties died, because it involves minors is a person who has not attained the age of 18 years. The police are obliged to provide legal protection legally is through diversion and restoration of justice, then no arrests during the investigation and shall give priority to efforts to resolve through diversion.
