- This study clarified the application of diversion to resolve the cases of children in conflict with the law in the Yogyakarta State Court. The aim of this study was to determine the criteria and the constraints on the implementation of diversion towards the juvenile offenders in the Yogyakarta State Court. The researcher used normative research method that focused on the positive legal norms in the form of legislation and interviews. The finding was that the application of diversion to resolve cases of the children in conflict with the law in the Yogyakarta State Court regarding the criteria of prosecutor versioned application showed the child performed the wrongdoing for the first time. The constraint was that the rule in the legal system required investigators to follow up the incoming judge actions.
