- The outline of the research problem is how the efforts of the National Police investigators in finding the items evidence the results of criminal acts of theft of motorcycles in Polres Sleman and what obstacles faced and how to overcome it. The purpose of this research is to know and examine what constraints and how to overcome the constraints faced by police investigators in searching for evidence the results of criminal acts of theft of motorcycles in Polres Sleman. Methods of data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that obstacles faced investigators Polres Sleman in search of evidence the results of the criminal offence of theft of motorcycles in Polres Sleman is quite difficult to resolve, because in doing the action motorcycle vehicle thieves is composed of a network of operations that include more than one city, the network is managed in a professional manner, neat and organized. How to overcome the constraints is if the offender can point the buyers from the proceeds of crime, even if proceeds of crime have already dissected, buyer/middleman is caught and processed in accordance to applicable law (Article 480 Penal Code), to confiscate goods still found evidence though in separate forms, coordinate with other unity by means of exchange of information and when in his area to find items you're looking for news of immediately and do foreclosure the informant, puts in place a group realtor especially in larger towns nearby to be able to find evidence that is provided with the record search of goods belonging to the police.
