  • Satisfaction in a romantic relationship needs to exist in order to achieve stability, everlasting and preventing separation. Neuroticism and interpersonal deception are predicted to influence to the romantic relationship satisfaction however the previous studies’ results were not consistent. The purpose of the studies is to determine the correlation of neuroticism and interpersonal deception with romantic relationship satisfaction. Participants in these studies were 150 dating emerging adulthood (18-25 years old) studying in a university X. This thesis is a quantitative study (survey) in which data collection is done by incidental sampling. The hypothesis testing is done by multiple and Spearman correlation. Based on the results of the study, it is known that neuroticism and interpersonal deception have a significant correlation with romantic relationship satisfaction (r = 0.438 ; p = 0.000). This study also shows that both neuroticism and interpersonal deception have a negative impact on romantic relationship satisfaction, therefore the emerging adulthood as well as parents who have emerging adulthood children need to understand this negative impact in order to maintain their romantic relationship.
