- This study aims to investigate the determinants of board characteristics and firm performance such of TMT gender diversity, TMT education diversity, TMT nationality diversity, TMT size, firm size and firm age of companies’ listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange using agency theory. This Study uses the quantitative approach and multiple linear regressions to analyze the data. The target populations of this study are manufactured companies registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2016 which are equal to 1620 year observations. The study finds that TMT gender diversity, TMT education diversity, TMT size, dan firm age affect Return On Asset negatively. On the other hand, TMT nationality diversity affect Return On Asset positively. Meanwhile, firm size have no effect on Return On Asset.
