  • Fish oil with omega-3 fatty ac1ds is expected to reduce side effects of synthetic drugs and can open opportunities 1n fish oil production specifically for asthma The purpose of th1s study was to analyze effectiveness of fish 011 containing omega-3 fatty acids in quality of life asthma. The research method used pre-post test design with fish oil containing 1000 mg omega-3 for six weeks. Research subject (respondent) were adult outpatient asthma patients, by purposive sampling method. The sample size is 27 people It was concluded that the Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (AQLQ)quest1onna1re used was reliable on the effect of activity (r-0.796>0.38}. The symptoms (r=0,792>0.38} emotion (r=0,791>0,38}, and environment (0,812>0,38}. The Intervention has been shown to have a stgmhcant effect on quality of life There were 81.48% of respondents experience Improvement of quality of life rn the ftrst three weeks but only 70.37% are still experiencing improvement In six weeks. The results of the ANOVA-test showed significant changes from baseline before treatment compared with three weeks intervention with p<0.05(0,002). However, there was no significant change between the three weeks intervention and six weeks intervention with p>O 05(0,313} Fish oil fatty acids containing omega-3 is effective tn improving quality of life in adult outpatient asthma patients within 3 weeks and increase until in the sixth weeks although not significantly different
