- This paper discuss about the level of women participation in particular women who live in the city (urban women}. In this paper, the writer tries to explain what happen with women political participation and also women participate as policy makers. In fact, women participation in Indonesia still at lowest level, although the constitution have given equality position for all citizen as well as women citizen without discrimination, even sexually discrimination. Therefor, the writer try to map problem constraint that caused women have lowest participation, especially for them who live in urban that ought to be owned better education and life. Besides that, the writer also explain a little bit about the strategies to increase women participation, in order to change society for realizing gender equity. Intrinsically existing of gender equity represents condition for a democratic country.
