- The role of export-oriented Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Pamekasan Madura is important to developed regions economic. Support for export-oriented SMEs should be given in terms of support for human talents, production, and market expansion. The SMEs partners for this program are Citra Batik Tulis Pamekasan dan CV Amali. Both SMEs produce handmade batik. After preliminary field analysis, we found these following problems specifically to the SMEs : (1) equipments layout, time and labor scheduling, and cost analysis are not well designed and the production site is not optimum for working condition, (2) many works are done manually and to s upport demand, (3) all partners are depending on bigger trading companies for the market considering their lack of direct connection with buyers overseas, (4) management for marketing, financial and accounting are simple and has no experience for joining public events, (5) Both SMEs have no adequate showroom and optimum production site (6) competition is not well managed in the region since there are no standard quality. The solution for those problems covers (1) equipment and production site stimulation, (2) layout production site for equipments and labor scheduling (3) supervision to increase the market expansion, (4) producing brochures, catalogs, and packaging, (5) organizing both SMEs for showroom development (6) training in the areas of entrepreneurships, marketing, accounting and finance, management quality standard.
