- Marriage as a life span had several stages. Carr (2000) explained that marital satisfaction at the stage Famify with young children was at the lowest level. This study were designed to identifY factors that influenced marital satisfaction by using 183 couples (husbands and wives). It found that there were seven risks factors for marriage at the family with young children stage. The seven risks factors were;(l) economic conditions and management,(2) principles in parenting,(3) adjustment to parent roles,{4) paradigm of children in modern lives (5) couples' adjustment after having children,(6) effective communication,(7) conflict management competencies. Past experiences and external factors not directly influenced marriage. For couples at this marriage stage were suggested to improve the communication and conflict management skills. For pre marital couples were suggested to prepare the economics condition, discuss the parenting styles they want to be, improve communication and conflict management skilss.
