EFEKTIVITAS EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN LEGUNDI (Vitex trifolia L.) SEBAGAI LARVISIDA PADA LARVA Aedes aegypti

  • ABSTRAK   Nyamuk Aedes aegypti adalah vektor penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD). Pengendalian vektor menjadi hal penting untuk mencegah penyebaran penyakit. Salah satu caranya adalah menggunakan insektisida. Penggunaan insektisida dari bahan alami mulai banyak dilirik, salah satunya adalah tumbuhan legundi (Vitex trifolia L.). Daun legundi (Vitex trifolia L.) mengandung berbagai macam senyawa yang diketahui mempunyai aktivitas larvisida. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun Vitex trifolia L. pada konsentrasi 0,25%, 0,5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% terhadap mortalitas larva Aedes aegypti bila dibandingkan dengan kontrol (air dan pelarut CMC 0,25%) serta mengetahui nilai LC50 dan LC90 ekstrak daun Vitex trifolia L.. Metode penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional eskperimental murni. Uji larvisida dari ekstrak etanol daun Vitex trifolia L. pada konsentrasi 0,25%, 0,5%,  1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% dan kontrol mendapatkan hasil persentase rerata mortalitas larva nyamuk masing-masing adalah 45,2%, 65,2%, 77,2%, 94,8%, 93,2%, 92% 97,2% dan 0%. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan ekstrak etanol daun Vitex trifolia L. konsentrasi 0,25%, 0,5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% efektif dalam membunuh larva Aedes aegypti  bila dibandingkan dengan kontrol, dengan efektivitas semakin meningkat sampai konsentrasi 2% dan peningkatan konsentrasi selebihnya tidak memberikan perbedaan yang bermakna serta mempunyai nilai LC50 = 0,169% (0,0- 1,32) dan LC90 = 1,78% (0,017-7,535).   • ABSTRACT   Aedes aegypti mosquito is a vector of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Vector control is essential to prevent the spread of the disease. One of the ways is to use insecticides. The use of insecticides from natural ingredients began to be glimpsed, one of which was Legundi (Vitex trifolia L.). Legundi leaves (Vitex trifolia L.) contains a variety of compounds known to have larvicidal activity. The aims of study is to determine the effect of the concentration of ethanolic extract of Vitex trifolia L.leaves concentration of 0.25%, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% on mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae when compared with control (water and CMC 0.25% solvent) and to know the value of LC50 and LC90 of Vitex trifolia L. leaves extract. This research method is cross-sectional pure experimental. Larvicide test of ethanolic extract of Vitex trifolia L. leaves concentration of 0.25%, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% and control obtained the mean percentage of larvae mortality were 45.2%, 65.2%, 77.2%, 94.8%, 93.2%, 92%, 97.2% and 0% respectively. From the results of the study concluded the ethanolic extract of Vitex trifolia L. leaves at concentrations of 0.25%, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% effective in killing Aedes aegypti larvae when compared with control, with effectiveness increasing until the concentration of 2% and the increase in the remaining concentration does not provide a significant difference, and has an LC50 value = 0.169% (0.0-1.32) and LC90 = 1.78% (0.017-7.535).
