STUDI FAUNA LARVA NYAMUK PADA CUBANG DI DESA BESAKIH, KECAMATAN RENDANG, KABUPATEN KARANGASEM

  • Nyamuk berperan sebagai vektor penyakit melalui gigitannya. Keberadaan larva nyamuk pada tempat penampungan air merupakan salah satu cara mengestimasi kepadatan populasi nyamuk dan salah satu faktor risiko penularan penyakit yang ditularkan oleh nyamuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui studi fauna larva nyamuk pada cubang (tempat penampungan air tradisional) di Desa Besakih, Kecamatan Rendang Kabupaten Karangasem. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif menggunakan studi potong lintang. Sampel cubang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan dilihat distribusi larva nyamuk berdasarkan spesies, volume cubang, kedalaman cubang, kedalaman air cubang, keberadaan ikan, dan kondisi cubang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 23 cubang yang diteliti, terdapat 7 cubang yang positif terdapat larva nyamuk (30,4%). Larva nyamuk yang paling banyak ditemukan pada cubang adalah larva nyamuk Culex sp. Larva nyamuk paling banyak ditemukan pada cubang yang bervolume sedang (71,4%). Berdasarkan kedalaman cubang dan kedalaman air cubang, larva nyamuk hanya ditemukan pada cubang yang memiliki kedalaman dan kedalaman air yang dangkal (100%). Larva nyamuk lebih banyak ditemukan pada cubang yang tidak berisi ikan (71,4%). Larva nyamuk ditemukan pada semua cubang yang terbuka (57,1%) dan pada 3 cubang yang tertutup (42,9%).   • Mosquitoes act as vectors of disease through their bite. The presence of mosquito larvae in water reservoirs is the way to estimate the density of mosquito populations and one of the risk factors for transmission of diseases transmitted by mosquitoes. This study aims to determine the fauna study of mosquito larvae in the cubang (traditional water reservoirs) at Besakih Village, Rendang Subdistrict, Karangasem Regency. The research was conducted by descriptive method using cross-sectional study. Samples cubang were selected based on inclusion criteria and seen the distribution of mosquito larvae by their species, cubang volume, cubang depth, the depth of cubang water, fish existence, and conditions of the cubang. The results showed that of the 23 cubang examined, there are 7 cubang were positive for mosquito larvae (30.4%). The mosquito larvae most commonly found in the cubang are Culex sp. mosquito larvae. Mosquito larvae most commonly found in medium-volume of the cubang (71.4%). Based on the depth of the cubang and the depth of cubang water, mosquito larvae are only found in the cubang with shallow depths and shallow water depths (100%). Mosquito larvae were found in cubang which has not fish in it (71.4%). Mosquito larvae were found in the cubang with the condition was opened. (57.1%) and in the 3 cubang with the condition was closed (42.9%). Keywords : Study Fauna, Larvae, Mosquito, Traditional Water Reservoirs.
