Daftar Isi:
- Technological developments have an impact on decreasing the physical activity of the community. Community workload also increases which can lead to stress. Stress is a mental and emotional disorder or disorder caused by external factors; tension. This study is an analytic cross-sectional correlation method which aims to determine the relationship between the frequency of Balinese dancing and the stress level of Balinese dancers in Denpasar. The research was conducted in October-December 2020 at the Indonesian Art Institute in Denpasar and the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University with a total of 93 Balinese dancers who filled out the PSS (Perceived Stress Scale) questionnaire. The variables of this research consisted of independent variables of Balinese dancing frequency, the dependent variable of stress level, and control variables of age, gender, and dance duration. The results of Somers' D bivariate test indicated that there was no relationship (p> 0.05) between the frequency of Balinese dancing and stress levels. This is influenced by the type of dance and the burden on the dancer because dancing is not a hobby. It is necessary to control variables such as the type of dance so that there are not many biases that can interfere with the research results.
