- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas layanan informasi dalammeningkatkan aspirasi karier siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodekuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment dengan rancangan NonRandomized Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalahsiswa siswa SMA Negeri 7 Padang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalahmodel Skala Likert, selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon SignedRanks Test dengan bantuan SPSS versi 17.00. Temuan penelitian ini secara umummenunjukkan bahwa layanan informasi efektif dalam meningkatkan aspirasikarier siswa. Selanjutnya, temuan penelitian secara khusus yaitu: 1) Tingkataspirasi karier siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan layanan informasi beradapada kategori sedang dan 2) Terdapat perbedaan aspirasi karier siswa sebelumdan setelah mengikuti layanan informasi, hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan skorserta analisis statistik dengan peningkatan yang singnifikan. Berdasarkan hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan informasi dapat meningkatkan skoraspirasi karier siswa. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapatdisarankan kepada pihak terkait agar dapat menjalin kerja sama dalammembantu siswa meningkatkan aspirasi karier.This study aims to test the effectiveness of information services in improving student career aspirations. This research uses quantitative method. This research type is Quasi Experiment with Non Randomized Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. The subject of this research is students of SMA Negeri 7 Padang. The research instrument used is Likert Scale model, then analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with SPSS version 17.00. The findings of this study generally show that information services are effective in improving student career aspirations. Furthermore, the research findings are specifically: 1) The level of career aspiration of students before being given information service treatment is in the medium category and 2) There are differences in career aspirations of students before and after following information services, this is evident from the increase in score as well as statistical analysis with the improvement Significant. Based on the results of research indicate that information service can improve student career aspiration score. Furthermore, based on the results of this study can be suggested to the relevant parties in order to establish cooperation in helping students improve career aspirations
