- The purposes of this research is to know the implementation of duties and functions of National Sharia Board and Sharia Banking Committee related to the legislation of economic banking fiqh. This research also want to know the synchronization between National Sharia Boardand Sharia Banking Committee roles.This research is a normative legal research, i.e research based on secondary data from regulations, books, articles, etc. To complete data, also use field research with interviewing respondent and informan from Sharia Banking Directory of Indonesian Bank and National Sharia Board.The results of this research shows that the implementation of duties and functions of National Sharia Board are making fatwa used al-Quran, Hadith, Ijma’, Qiyas as main sources and fiqh from four mazhab and contemporary fiqh as secondary sources. Sharia Banking Committee consist of eleven expertises representate from National Sharia Board, Religious Department, Society, and Indonesian Bank. They have done their duties and functions, especially in developing Sharia Banking. Synchronization between National Sharia Board and Sharia Banking Committee have been done by involving National Sharia Board in Committee Meeting to make Committee Recommendation and Bank Indonesia Regulation.Keywords : National Sharia Board, Sharia Banking Committee, Fatwa, Bank Indonesia Regulation.
