- The purpose of this research is; knowing the sources of fertility and fertilizer efficaciouswater Waduk Gajah Mungkur (WGM) Wonogiri in Central Java. The waters ofWGM is alleged to have been in the fertile status (eutrophy) and the cause of the fertilitysociety’s activities comes from the outside of the reservoir (settlements, farming, farms, hotels, restaurants) and in the reservoirs (fisheries and tourism).Survey research methods, sampling the water with the method of purposive in10 stations the waters of WGM, namely; 1) Estuary SubDAS Wuryantoro, 2) EstuarySubDAS Unggahan, 3) Estuary SubDAS Alang – Solo Hulu, 4) Estuary SubDAS Temon,5) Estuary SubDAS Wiroko, 6) Estuary SubDAS Keduang, 7) KJA area, 8) Free activities,9) Tourist area, and 10) Area Outlet. Sampling was done 4 times, in March, June,September and December 2009. The analysis of samples carried out in the laboratoryMIPA Center UNS Surakarta. The calculation formula of the fertility status of Carlson’s(1977 in Suryono, et. al., 2006).The results showed; contents of the SubDAS estuary P 1 to 5 and outlets on avery low sampling March 2009 (< 0,1 ?g/L), while the highest content found in CAGES(average 131,375 ?g/L) followed the tourist free 70,775 ?g/L. lowest chlorophyll ContentSubDAS Temon (1,995 g/L) and the highest SubDAS Keduang (4,810 ?g/L), and thesmallest brightness SubDAS Uploads and Wiroko (0,3925 ?g/L) and the largest free area(0,7550 ?g/L). Fertility waters WGM between ultraoligotrophic - eutrophyc medium.Based on the location of sampling; station 1-5 and 9-10 are in a state of mesotrophyc, 7eutrophyc, and 6 and 8 light eutrophyc. Based on sampling time; in March 2009, oligotrophyc,June, September and December 2009 eutrophyc lightly. This state indicates thatthe activities of the KJA contributed greatly to the fertility status of the waters of the reservoir, followed by tourism activities. The water supply in the rainy season, lower levelsof P, so that fertility drops to the level of ultraoligotrophyc. The conclusions of this research: the fertility status of the waters of the WGMeutrophyc light, the most dominant activity against an increase in the content of P isthe KJA, followed by tourism, community activities in SubDAS Wiroko and Keduang. For it takes more socialization about the preservation efforts of the aquatic environmentWGM.Keywords: Waduk Gajah Mungkur Waters, fertility, Phosphat, KJA, tourism.
