  • Several studies have established empirically that second language speakers might fail to communicate effectively even when they master an excellent grammar of the target language. The inability of the non-native English speakers might happen because they do not have the so called ‘Communicative Competence’, that is the competence which enables someone to use language effectively in real acts of communication.
