Permasalahan dalam penelitian adalah bagaimana kemampuan kognitif siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui model Advance Organizer. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh data tingkat kemampuan kognitif siswa melalui aplikasi model Advance Organizer. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan bentuk quasi eksperiment dan menggunakan pola one shoot desain (desain sekali &#x201C;tembak&#x201D;) yakni treatment yang dikenakan kepada sampel penelitian dilakukan sebanyak satu kali pertemuan untuk setiap langkah kegiatan pembelajaran. Sampel yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII-C yang berjumlah 41 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes, observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Kegiatan pembelajarannya meliputi mengidentifikasi, mengapresiasi, dan mempresentasikan hasil pembelajaran seni tari dalam bentuk kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi model Advance Organizer dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan peningkatan rata-rata pada saat pre-test 75, 82 dan 84,48 pada saat post-test. Selain itu, hasil uji t kemampuan kognitif adalah 31,33 &gt; 1,684artinya penelitian signifikan (dipercaya) karena t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel.&#xA0;Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran Advance Organizer, Kemampuan kognitif, dan Pembelajaran Seni Tari.&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;Abstract&#xA0;The study is titled &#x201C;Advance Organizer Model Application in Learning The Art Of Dance to Enhance The Students Cognitive SMP 30 Bandung&#x201D;. The research problem is how the students cognitive ability can be improved through the model of advance organizer. The objective was to obtain data on the level of students cognitiveabilities through the application of advance models organizer. The method used is an experimental method with a &#x201C;quasi-experimental&#x201D; and use the patern &#x201C;one shoot design&#x201D; (design one-shoot) that &#x201C;treatment&#x201D; is applied to sample as much of the research conducted meetings for each steps of the learning activities. The samples use were all students of class VIII-C, amounting to 41 people. Data collection techniques with test, observations, interviews, and documentations. Learning activities include identifying, appreciating, and present the result of teaching the art of dance in te form of groups. The result showed that the application of advance organizer mode can improve students cognitive abilities. This is evidenced by an increase in average scores at the &#x201C;pre-test&#x201D; 75,82 and 84,48 at the time of &#x201C;post-test&#x201D;.
