- This research is aimed at finding the role of parental and teacher support on social adjusted of gifted children. Twelve subjects of gifted children (age 6-11) participated in this research. Data were obtained by using Adjustment Social Scale, Parental Support Scale, Teachers’ Support Scale, observation and interview. Data were analyzed by Regression and SPS 2000-Sutrisno Hadi version. Result indicates that 1) there is no correlation between parental support and social adjustment of gifted children (r=0.042, p>0.05); 2) there is no correlation between teachers’ support and social adjustment of gifted children (r=0.051, p>0.05). However individual analysis indicates that subjects’ social adjustment tends to be related to peer support, emotional sensitivity and coping ability.
