- The experimental study on the boundary layer characteristics and flow separation phenomena over curve plate with inlet disturbance was carried out. The experiment was performed by placing the model test into wind tunnel by varying inlet disturbance location and chamber angle of plate curvature at a constant Reynolds number. The result of the experiment at Reynolds number about 5.105 with inlet disturbance location varies between 0-500 mm showed that if inlet disturbance distance from leading edge is bigger, the flow will be more turbulent and the separation retarded. For the same inlet disturbance distance, the flow separation over 30 degrees-chamber plate is later than 60 degrees-chamber plate.
